Though value for service innovation co-created by the provider and client in IT-enabled services environment is critical for organizational competitiveness, the factors influencing this co-creation, the structures and processes that enable co-creation is not yet known. My study investigates the factors influencing the co-creation of value in service innovation in the context of design and delivery of data analytics services. In particular, it analyses the influence of client-provider relationship and governance on the co-creation of value and investigates how this potential innovation could influence the decisions firms make in outsourcing their data analytics services.
